Brendan and Jacinta met in the perfect setting. Jacinta was an Australian traveler, also characterised as a ‘ski bum’, and Brendan was a charming Canadian working in the Rocky Mountains.
Their wedding was easily characterised as a super emotional day where all the people we love traveled near and far to celebrate with them. They had guests from Canada, America, Argentina, New Zealand, Queensland, Sydney, Canberra, Darwin, Alice Springs and Perth.
The ceremony was held at Acacia Ridge Winery in the Yarra Valley where after what looked like a gloomy morning the sun made its appearance right on time.
Each element to their wedding was set up in a way that everyone got to meet everyone, even the way their wedding parties stood was un-traditional as they wanted to emphasise unity. A day filled with bohemian lux styling, live acoustic music, texas style food truck, grazing boards and of course that one Aunty and Uncle that tear up the dance floor.
When marrying someone that is international and who has chosen to move thousands of kilometres for you there is an element to the wedding where family is also letting go and saying goodbye. There is raw emotion which can often be hard to see but in the words of the couple ‘it was captured beautifully on the day.’
